Fashion And Function — The Beauty Of Carrying Bags

Bags can be quite complicated. Sometimes, we want them, sometimes we don’t. But during the times that we need them, we are often set back by the thought saying “no, I don’t look good in my bag and I should just ditch it!”

Wrong! You can still look good and fashionable even when you are carrying a bag. In fact, that is actually something that should motivate and challenge you — how to look good even when you are carrying a bag with you. Bags shouldn’t be thought of only as a functional piece of item, but also as a fashion piece to complement your outfit.

Backpack Tips For The Fashionable Traveling Girl

Okay, since the Summer sun is fresh and ripe for the picking, I think traveling is something that you can really enjoy doing during these months.  And since this site has the word ‘fashion’ in, I guess it seems appropriate to have a sense of fashion even though while you are traveling.

As a traveler, I have noticed that one of the things I have trouble with it bringing stuff along with me. Obviously, I cannot bring a handbag or a tote bag while traveling — which leads me to the best alternative available — the backpack!

Tips On Choosing The Best Backpack For You

Hi girls! How are you? I’ve been sitting here inside my room, fixing my things because I’ll be going for a mountain climb tomorrow. Having said that, I noticed that I have a lot of things to carry, but not big enough backpack space to fit all of them in. Because of that, I decided to check out some backpacks online and decided to write about how to find the best, fashionable backpacks.

Finding the best backpack for you

The styles, shapes, and sizes of backpacks are virtually limitless — not to mention overwhelming. You can find a pack specific to just about every outdoor activity and in just about any capacity that you need. Because backpacks is a broad field, narrowing the best backpack to find the exact one that will suit you can be difficult. My first tip? Don’t start with a pack and try to fit your gear into it!

To find the right backpack to suit your needs, what you need to do is to start with the pile of gear that you need to carry, and select the appropriate model to carry that gear. Doing this will allow you to find the best backpack in the market to fit in all of the things that you need, and not the other way around. And if you plan to carry your pack on a long distance hike, make sure the weight, suspension, and capacity is suited to what you need to bring with you.

Often, people will just take a typical pack for backpacking with them for long-term travel, but there are some clever market offerings for travelers that can make the hassles of going from place to place a little easier. These travel-specific designs have features such as detachable daypacks that can clip to the front of the pack for easy kangaroo-style carrying, padded carry handles, lockable zippers, and covers that zip up to protect shoulder straps from airport luggage escalators.

Still, finding a backpack is not all about functionality, as you have to factor in the looks too. With that in mind, finding a stylish yet functional backpack should be your goal. Good thing is that Style Nanda just has that backpack that looks good while providing top-notch quality and functionality. If you have time, I invite you to check this color block backpack and see if this is something that would fit your needs.

Bringing Fashion Back With Bucket Bags

Would you believe me if I say that the Bucket Bag has been around for a long time? It actually dates back to the early 1900’s, although it just started to get popular the recent decades. Its appeal has always been that effortless look when slung over the shoulder with carefree ease. These days the bucket has come to epitomize a casual chic.

Bucket bags are barrel shaped with a top drawstring closure and shoulder strap. They have been a fringe trend for four years, but have battled to gain momentum. That changed this year, with the style once again going mainstream like it did back in the ’90s.

The bucket bag has its casual and boho chic appeal. Its lack of structure successfully dresses down an outfit much like a slouchy hobo style. The drawstring closure is in itself an interesting, textural and eye-catching detail. But it’s not that easy finding your stuff in this style of bag. You end up digging around a lot, especially when you tend to carry many items in your bag. That said, bag organizers are one way to solve the problem, and some bucket bags are more structured than others.

The bucket bag also has a universally appealing shape: It’s structured, but not too structured; fashionable, but not too trendy, and it’s the happy medium between a too-large tote and a too-small clutch. It’s also one silhouette that both luxury designers and mass retailers have gotten behind (with fervor) in recent seasons, churning out different size, color, and material variations left and right.

If you are a busy gal who loves to go out and carry so many things, and you like to bring out that bohemian vibe to your outfit, you can check out these Knit Fabric Abstract Bucket Bag from Bagazimuri 🙂

Backpacks Are Back In Fashion

With the world getting busier and faster every waking day, it is not wrong to say that even us girls are always on the go. And because being busy equates to being in need of lots of gadgets and accessories, there is a reason why so many fashion-conscious women are going for backpacks instead of going for a prim and proper handbag.

Backpacks, also known as “the school yard throwback”, are absolutely perfect for a woman with an “on-the-go” lifestyle. Whether you are trying to accompany a polished office attire or going for that casual weekend persona, the backpack is one of the few carriers that exude a feeling of urban cool.

Due to the increasing necessity of on-the-go girls who need their hands-free while they move around the city, backpacks have come back in style again. Today, this once-humble symbol of the budget traveler is considered as the new brief-case, hand bag and holdall, rolled into one (which isn’t really bad, right?)

All the while considered a school yard or 90’s era favorite, the utilitarian carry-all has been given an upmarket make-over and become the surprise must-have accessory of 2016. According to fashion insiders the secret to this look is to remember – size matters. Wearing too small a laptop will make you look like you are still stuck in the Nineties. While wearing too big one will get you mistaken for an actual backpacker packing up for a mountain climb.

Just like any other accessory, color-coding the backpack along with the rest of your outfit is necessary if you want it to stand out right along with the rest of your clothes. One rule that I like to follow is to not exaggerate with the prints and the colors if you can help it. When you are in the shopping mall or you are window shopping online, looking for a backpack to buy, it is easy to get carried away with printed and vibrant backpacks and I can’t blame you for that. However, wearing a backpack that is very well outside the theme and scope of your outfit will only give your backpack the wrong kind of attention. For me, the best colors for a back pack would be brown or black as they are easier to combine with the others.

Carry Things Fashionably With Backpacks

Carrying a lot of things doesn’t seem like a nice proposition, especially if you want to look as cool and fashionable as you possibly can. Not that I am saying that you can’t look good while carrying your things, as there are clutch bags and hand bags that can really make you look like a Hollywood celebrity.

However, clutch bags and hand bags are sometimes too small to carry the stuff that we need to have around. And when this occurs, there is no other place that we can run to other than the old and reliable back pack bag that we used to love — until it became “not too fashionable” or too “old school” for our own taste, right?

Good thing is, the “old and reliable, “old school” and “not too fashionable” back pack has also evolved to go on with the changing times. Where the once “old” backpack used to be bulky, too childish in design and not too flattering, the modern back pack bag has become a lot more alluring, stylish, chic and functional. Unlike its older counterparts, the modern backpack has also evolved to fit the changing times. Because of the growing needs of modern people, the modern back pack has also upped its ante.

Where people once used back pack only for functional, “carry the things” purpose, people today are much more demanding. Not only do we want a back pack that can help us carry our things from one place to another, but ultimately we also want to carry a back pack that looks good on our outfit. And of course, let us not forget that comfort is also a big reason why we choose the things that we wear, and the backpack is definitely one that should provide us with ample support and comfort too. Padded and light weight backpack bags that won’t hurt us while we carry them around is as important as carrying one that looks good and fashionable.

Truly, the demands for a fashionable yet functional piece of utility item such as a back pack is there, but not every back pack can meet expectations. Good thing for me, I found the right mix of comfort and fashionable looks with these beautiful back packs from Bullang. I was never really a fan of big back packs, but these nice bags from Bullang made me buy some too! Check out the nice colors and the crafty materials that was used on these bags, I swear that they are really comfortable!

Fashionable Backpacks As Working Fashion Accessories

In today’s busy world, being fashionable isn’t just about looking good. most of the time, you have to also find a meeting point between feeling comfortable, being utilitarian and being fashionable, all in one go. What good is a shirt that looks good if it doesn’t fit you well and right? What good are those nice fitting pants if it doesn’t go well with your whole outfit and it seems off? With today’s world, fashion shouldn’t just look good but should also be wearable wherever you may go and whatever you may do. It wouldn’t hurt to become a bit more demanding with what your clothes and accessories can do for you because the world works so fast nowadays that you just need something that is not only fashionable but wearable and utilitarian as well.

AS for me, one of the most important things in my outfit is my bag. My makeup kit, my wallet, my cards and ID’s are all placed in this little fashion accessory that I carry with me wherever I might go. When I am working or when I need to carry a lot of things to work with me, having a simple tote bag or hand bag is not enough. Especially when I need to carry a tablet or a computer, what I need is something that is not only spacious and easy to carry but one that I can carry with confidence and pride as well. This is where my backpack comes in.

Stylish and easy to wear, a backpack is something that helps to not only carry my things but ultimately serves as a complement to my outfit as well. The need for a place to store my things is promptly satisfied by a backpack and I can say that it is really one of the few items in my fashion outfit that I would wear more for the need rather than the look. That is, before I was introduced to fashionable backpacks.

Fashionable backpacks are nice to have because they not only look good but serve an important function of carrying my things as well. Usually made from suede or leather, fashionable backpacks are nice to have in your arsenal because they can fit your outfit well and not get too out-of-place while also complementing your outfit and your style.

Here are some of the most beautiful fashionable backpacks from St. Scott of London that I have in my own collection.
